The new Solahart Silhouette® solar panels use bifacial cells and are constructed with glass on the front and back. This next-gen technology allows them to convert both direct sunlight, and light that’s reflected off the ground or roof, into energy. Depending on the installation angle and amount of reflection, this means between 0% to 25%* more energy can be produced compared to monofacial panels.

The rear side light depends on factors such as the type of roof, its albedo (reflectivity), and the method of installation. The bifacial solar panel can produce between 0% to 25% more electricity than a monofacial solar panel under optimal conditions, but this is not guaranteed. The actual performance of the bifacial solar panel may vary depending on the environmental and operational conditions.
